Social work refers to any jobs or tasks that are performed to help society. Therefore, online social work is social work done via the internet. For some people, online classes are a struggle. They cannot stay motivated, especially when they are required to take these classes versus taking them for personal reasons. The good news is that there are many different forums and online help centers available for these students to get help, feedback and motivation to keep working. This should never turn a student away from the idea of an online social worker’s degree altogether; the student simply needs to do more research and find a better program. Sometimes, the best universities do not offer the best social work courses. And some students find a place in one system better than they do in another.

Through the internet, people can help the world and help themselves, bringing to life the purpose of social work. The pursuit of knowledge is never-ending; sometimes it is required, and sometimes it is quite the opposite, a dedication personal goals, values and dreams. Either way, dedication to social work, whether in the field, in the classroom or on the internet, is an honorable path.
